The goal of this process is to create a cohort of students who have diverse academic backgrounds, interests, experiences, qualities, and skills to enrich the learning context and contribute in ways that strengthen the OT profession. We typically receive more applications than we have spots available in our program, so meeting or exceeding the minimum admission requirements will NOT guarantee a seat in the MOT Program. Admission to the MOT Program is a competitive process. Our goal is to admit one cohort of 24 qualified students each year. To be eligible for admission to the MOT Program, applicants must meet all JMU Graduate School Requirements as well as all MOT Program Admission Requirements. The program does not accept transfer students from other occupational therapy programs. JMU’s MOT Program is an entry-level program. Do not call individual faculty, OTCES (on campus OT Clinical Education Services), or the Health Sciences Department.
